    Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)

The largest global network of responsible investors, with more than 5,000 signatories.

    Official site

    Background

The PRI was launched in 2006 with UN backing. Signatories include asset owners, asset managers and service providers.

    Scope and powers

It sets six principles and requires signatories to report each year and meet minimum requirements, such as having a responsible investment policy, or risk being delisted.

    Investor relevance

A PRI signature is a firm-level commitment to ESG integration and stewardship, not a label on a particular fund.
