TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures)
ESG & GovernanceA task force set up by the Financial Stability Board that created the four-pillar framework for climate disclosure.
TCFD was formed in December 2015 and published its recommendations in 2017: eleven disclosures under governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics and targets. Its framework became the global basis for climate reporting and was built into IFRS S2. TCFD was disbanded in October 2023, with the ISSB taking over its monitoring role. RBI's draft climate disclosure framework for lenders also uses the TCFD pillars.
