Core ESG rating
ESG & GovernanceA SEBI-required ESG rating built only on assured or independently assessed data, mainly the BRSR Core indicators.
SEBI's March 2023 decision required ESG rating providers to introduce a "core ESG rating". Registered providers now offer Core versions of the ESG Rating, the Transition or Parivartan Score and the Combined Score. Because they use only assured data, Core ratings should be more comparable across providers than ratings that also use unassured disclosures and estimates.
