ESG rating
ESG & GovernanceAn opinion from a rating provider on a company's ESG performance or on the ESG risks it faces, expressed as a grade or score.
ESG ratings differ in what they measure. Some compare how well a company manages industry-specific ESG risks against its peers, some measure the absolute amount of unmanaged ESG risk, and some give a broad performance score. In India, ESG ratings on Indian securities for Indian users can be issued only by providers registered with SEBI, on a 0 to 100 scale.
