Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (now Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices)
ESG & GovernanceA global family of best-in-class sustainability indices launched in 1999, based on S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment and renamed the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices from 10 February 2025.
The indices select the leading companies in each industry by S&P Global ESG Score and weight them by float-adjusted market capitalisation. The annual review now takes place at the end of April. Many Indian companies mention inclusion in their annual reports as a sign of sustainability performance.
