Facilitated emissions
ESG & GovernanceEmissions linked to capital market deals that a bank arranges or underwrites, such as bond and share issues, rather than funds on its own balance sheet.
PCAF covers facilitated emissions in Part B of its standard. Because the bank helps raise the money but usually does not hold it for long, PCAF counts only a weighted share (33%) of the emissions that would otherwise be attributed. Facilitated emissions are reported separately from financed emissions and should not be added to them.
