Lost time injury frequency rate (LTIFR)
ESG & GovernanceThe number of work injuries that cause lost working time, per one million person-hours worked.
LTIFR is the standard safety measure in the BRSR and a BRSR Core indicator, reported separately for employees and workers. Lower is better. A low LTIFR with fatalities, or a sudden drop, can point to under-reporting. Compare companies only on the same base of hours.
