Total recordable injury rate (TRIR)
ESG & GovernanceThe number of recordable work injuries, including those without lost time, per 2,00,000 hours worked.
TRIR captures a wider range of injuries than LTIFR, including those needing medical treatment or restricted duties. The 2,00,000-hour base comes from US practice and equals about 100 full-time workers for a year. The BRSR reports total recordable injuries, from which TRIR can be calculated.
