Five dimensions of impact
ESG & GovernanceA framework from the Impact Management Project that describes any impact by what outcome occurs, who experiences it, how much change there is, the contribution of the activity and the risk that it differs from expectations.
The five dimensions give a common language for describing positive and negative impacts. "How much" covers scale, depth and duration. "Contribution" asks what would have happened anyway. The GIIN's IRIS+ system aligns its metrics with the five dimensions.
