IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change)
ESG & GovernanceThe UN body that assesses the science of climate change and publishes major reports for policy makers.
The IPCC reviews published research on climate change, its impacts and the options for reducing it. It does not do its own research or set policy, but its assessment reports shape the targets that countries negotiate, including the case for limiting warming to 1.5°C. Many corporate climate scenarios and science-based targets draw on IPCC pathways.
