ESG fund
ESG & GovernanceA mutual fund or ETF that selects investments using environmental, social and governance criteria under a stated strategy.
In India, SEBI's July 2023 rules require each ESG scheme to follow one of six strategies named in its title, put at least 65% of its assets in companies with a full BRSR and assured BRSR Core, publish holdings' ESG scores monthly and get yearly independent assurance. An ESG fund is not necessarily an impact fund; most manage ESG risk rather than create measurable impact.
